MENELAW SETE PERFORMING AT THE BASEMENT
After the Italian debut of Menelaw Sete's exhibition, organized by MGArt during the circuit (con)TemporaryArt, the Brazilian artist confirms the success achieved with a live-painting performance in the Basement of Superstudio Più. The art-works exhibited take inspiration from the Afro-Brazilian culture and the tropical colours shaping the figurative elements are connected to the artist's world and everyday life. During the evening, Menelaw Sete, in presence of Riccardo Deni, curator and Luigi Di Corato, professor at Università Cattolica of Milan, realized, in real-time, an art-work, which was donated for charity to Umberto Veronesi’s IEO (European Institute of Oncology).

(CON)TEMPORARY ART KEEPS THE PROMISES
Over 5.000 attendants, who were not stopped by the transport strike on the opening day, nor by the unceasing rain, represent the confirmation of the success obtained by the second edition of the circuit (con)TemporaryArt ended on 16th November. More than 25 the artistic projects, each one of them characterized by a peculiar style: from the exhibition "Respiro" by the master Omar Galliani, who was able to transport the visitors into a dreamlike atmosphere through his monumental works and the ad hoc set up, to post-graffiti and street art from the Don Gallery, that exhibited more than 50 pieces at the Pasticceria De Santis. Moreover, the window-performance at Coin, by the choreograph Gaja Lucchini. While the second edition is over, we already think about the third one, which will be held in spring.

CHAOTIC ORDER BY AGHIM MUKA
MyOwnGallery opens the doors to the Albanian artist Aghim Muka, in exhibition until 9th December with Ordine caotico/Clan-Destino, videos, sculptures, installations paintings and multi-sensorial works, interconnected between each other and through space and time. Aghim Muka builds, through his works, a silent humanity, which stares at us and wonders about the concept of stranger and other-from-us that so often scares us.Info: www.myowngallery.it

DRAMA AND LIGHTNESS INSIDE ART.BOX
The art.box's showcases come to life with two completely different projects. Until the first days of December, the installation by Michelangelo Galliani, where steel objects, lead slabs, marbles and fragments of skin compose the iconography of drama and represent political and religious incomprehensions. Afterwards, the display window is dedicated to "Three Dolls", the sculpture by Flavio Lucchini, winner of the international Prize Arte Laguna. The art-work is surrounded by its "copies" on paper, cloth and white plaster. An original art gift for Christmas.

ARTISTS AND CHRISTIE'S IN MEMORY OF SCIACCALUGA
63 great names of the contemporary art scene, together for a noble cause: donate an art-work to sustain Arianna, the young daughter of the famous critic Maurizio Sciaccaluga, disappeared at the age of 43. The Lounge of Superstudio Più turned, for three days, into a platform for encounters and sharing between different artists, curators, critics and collectors, who visited the exhibition, ending with the auction organized by Christie's. The proceeds were donated to Sciaccaluga's family. Arts-works sold out, an event to remember for remembering.

AMACI FOR THE DAY OF CONTEMPORARY ART
AMACI, the Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums, is promoting a day fully dedicated to contemporary art. More than 800 Italian cultural institutions propose a free entrance on October 4th. Superstudio Più takes part to the event with two artistic projects: Flavio Lucchini's solo show BlackCode/DressCode at MyOwnGallery (till October 31st) and L'albero della Vita Eterna by Mattia Bosco, a site specific installation in art.box where the Crucifixion, as the deepest exposure, is placed in the space with the greatest visibility.

A MEETING WITH (CON)TEMPORARY ART
Back on November the second appointment with (CON)TEMPORARY ART, the temporary and contemporary art circuit in the most creative district in Milan. More than 20 locations and galleries, solo and group shows, installations and performances providing contemporary art with an innovative look. An extraordinary direct experience which is not codified or kept in conventional spaces, aiming at promoting the young contemporary art in an innovative way, with an action of "Temporary Art". Superstudio spaces turn into containers with a lot of different proposals such as the solo show of Omar Galliani curated by Flaminio Gualdoni, or the innovative fair Arte Accessibile Milano, the experimentation of Aghim Muka, Angela Carrubba Pintaldi's paintings, Alessandra Di Consoli's photographs, Nemo's sculptures, the performance by Gaja Lucchini, Christie's auction in commemoration of the critic Maurizio Sciaccaluga. An art week full of events and shows with free entrance and full time opening.

THE FIRST FAIR OF "AFFORDABLE ART" IN MILAN
From November 13th to 16th at Superstudio Più, 'Arte Accessibile', the first contemporary art fair with an innovative touch, makes its debut in Italy.On show independent artists, young galleries, affordable prices, meetings and performances. AAM's mission is based on the idea of affordable art, a concept which is already known worldwide, both for the fruition with a great number of shows and collateral events and for the purchase with an interesting selection of works at advantageous economic conditions. The prices of the works are in fact lower than 7000 Euros.
A rich schedule with special appointments, art shows all the nights, theatre exhibitions, performing arts involving the public, live paintings, installations, interactive ateliers, art brunch and charity cocktails.

HOT AUTUMN: 5 EXHIBITIONS IN OCTOBER FOR FLAVIO LUCCHINI
Two solo shows and three group shows: a peculiar hot month for Flavio Lucchini whose old and new works are on show in different italian cities. From September 20th to October 31st MyOwnGallery hosts BlackCode/DressCode, bass-relieves and sculptures on the theme of black. From October 16th to November 16th, during the art fair Art(Verona the collateral event Dolls&Dolls at AtelierItaliano, via dei Mutilati 8/a, Verona. In Milan also two installations of the big Cor-Ten Totem in the open air group show Avvenirismo 3535, at the Civic Aquarius and the participation at the show New Art, New Pop II, gallery SpazioStudio, via Palermo 8. PASTA AT MOONSHINE
Black painted and enlighten with soft lights as a moonlight night, art.box shows three elegant dummies with sinuous shapes, dressed with precious fabrics and dresses decorated with…pasta! The artist Gaja Lucchini is reinterpreting the window gallery with the installation Dreaming Pasta for Voiello, who celebrates with taste at Superstudio the fashion Milan week.Next to art.box and with the support of Voiello, MyOwnGallery presents BlackCode/DressCode, showing Flavio Lucchini's black works, together with a hint to the white ones containing elements resembling pasta.
The week ends with the exclusive degustation at Dada Cafè, where the chef Pino Lavarra proposes Voiello Haute Couture recipes. The godmother of the event is Isabella Ferrari, who has just successfully returned from the Cinema festival in Venice.
