THE SUPERSTUDIO DESIGN WEEK IS COMING

    The
Temporary Museum for New Design, the exhibition designed to host in an edgy way the projects by big brands but also by up-and-coming talents, following the successful "less fair more museum" concept, comes back for its fourth year in via Tortona 27, at Superstudio Più, widened by the Extension at Superstudio 13. The project, curated by
Gisella Borioli with
Giulio Cappellini's creative direction, will display a series of 30 exhibitions, with presentations often endorsed by design stars such as Italo Rota (for Samsung), Giulio Cappellini (for Alcantara), Carlo Colombo (for Cristalplant), the brothers Fernando and Humberto Campana (for Cosentino), Oki Sato (for Nendo). This year the event introduces an original underlying theme:
TELLING A STORY, the design told by words, aphorisms, letterings through the Temporary Museum common path with observations by renowned architects and intellectuals, in order to reflect and understand. Graphic installation by the artist Flavio Lucchini.
At Superstudio Più a huge underground space of about 2.000 square meters is devoted to young international talents.
Discovering, other talents, other worlds, other ideas is a journey among the up-and-coming new designers in the Superstudio Più Basement, accessible from a new independent entrance located beside the main entrance.

        POKER

Four artists with something in common. Crossed lives in the temples of fashion. Different looks on the female universe.
From 18th of January, in
MyOwnGallery the collective
POKER sublimates the works of four different artists:
Flavio Lucchini,
Paolo Cassarà,
Toni Thorimbert,
Maurizio Zorat.
A poker of creatives united trought their love for fashion.
They have crossed their self in the "factory" where the glossy magazines were born and where the clothes were changed in the icons of our time. Now they are professional people and successful artists. For the first time they show their art works together sharing their passion for the art.
The exhibition
POKER sublimates the story of these meetings, and exalts the empathy unsettled in each of them. This collective is the story of long-lasting human relations that are capable of generating more than mutual exchanges.

ERRANTE: AIR THAT SPEAKS ABOUT MATTER

    "
La Guaina Molle" (The Soft Sheath) is not only the title of
Frederico Errante's exhibition opening the 9th of November at
MyOwnGallery of
Superstudio Più, but it is above all a new way of making art and dialogue with the public.
The artist is already known in Italy and abroad but this is the first time that Errante exhibits his works in a personal exhibition in Milan. The exhibition is hosted exceptionally by
Jean Blanchaert to
Philippe Daverio with
Marzia Perrotta's curatorship.
In 2003, Errante lands to the use of liquid plastic and he creates the "
Guaine Molli" (Soft Sheaths), these works are blocked and immortalized in a moment of their existence  and they are at the boundary between painting and sculpture. They are incredibly soft, they have an uncontrollable seduction on those notes, it's seems impossible to resist to the temptation to touch them.
Inside these works the time is stopped, the material is trapped in his air, space and time merge, the reflection on life and the value of things born with the thought about their transience and importance, about who we are and where we actually are going.
Vernissage 9th November h 18.30
The exhibition will remain open until the 21st of November, Tuesday-Sunday 15.00-19.30
