(CON)TEMPORARYART THIRD EDITION - March 22nd-30th

During the MiArt week, the con-temporary art path is back at
Superstudio Più, the big exhibition center in the
Tortona area, and in other locations of
Milan's most creative neighborhood. An art
Fuori-Salone, a surprising path, complementary to the Fair, an amazing event in the city, with unconventional offers and international visitors. Unprecedented projects, unexpected spaces, important artists, young up-and-coming talents, encounters, performances, temporary galleries.
25 exhibitions,
147 Italian and international artists,
20 curators.
10.000 expected visitors.
Two the international guest-stars of this third edition:
Shepard Fairey, the artist who became a cultural phenomenon with Barack Obama's iconography, one of the most effective illustrations of the American politics, and
Banksy, the most controversial street artist whose identity remains a mystery. Besides, there will also be the launching of
Flavio Lucchini's book and exhibit, supervised by
Luca Beatrice; the flowers by
Dany Vescovi,
Fulvio Di Piazza,
Felipe Cardeña and Corrado
Bonomi; the Cross Painting project by Italian Factory with
Cristiano Tassinari,
Svetlana Grebenyuk,
Daniele Girardi,
Luca Conca,
Desiderio,
Andrea Zucchi and
Alessandro Busci;
Stefano Abbiati's one-man exhibition, supervised by Gianluca Marziani. And more: in the Basement, the space devoted to young talents supervised by Chiara Canali, with
J&Peg,
Daniela Cavallo,
Elena Monzo and
Daniele D'Acquisto, in art.box the installation supervised by Alessandro Trabucco with
Franko B,
Michelangelo Galliani and
Matteo Basilé, while on the outdoor walls of Superstudio the project by Art Kitchen with
NEVE and
Ivan and Giacomo Cossio's excavator/artwork.
Also, the surprises of "
ExtraExtraLarge", the big-dimensioned artworks, supervised by Alberto Zanchetta and "
ExtraExtraSmall", the small-dimensioned artworks, supervised by Emma Gravagnuolo,
Marillina Fortuna's recycle art, the international video-art show supervised by
Daniele Capra,
Andy's art-design pop objects and
Umberto Voxci's cartoon installations. There will also be correlated special events and exhibitions in via Tortona and adjacent areas:
Christie's auction at Palazzo Clerici of the
Metroweb art manholes which have invaded the streets around the Tortona area, Alfredo Rapetti’s one-man exhibition at
Anfiteatro Arte, the joint exhibitions at
Rojo®artspace and in the
Spazio Closed, and the performances at
Teatro Libero.
The projects also envisages the participation of
IULM University, which as main partner commits once more to the contemporary art, by involving, among other things, its students as art assistants and thus diversifying its already established presence at MiArt, in the art fairs.
