DADAUMPOP - THE ITALIAN NEW POP
"Dadaumpop - The Italian New Pop" is the itinerant collective exhibition curated by Igor Zanti that will bring to India some of the most representative artists of contemporary Italian new pop.
Dada as synonym of expressive freedom, Pop as essential feature of the aesthetics of all the works exhibited.
Amongst the 27 artists selected
Flavio Lucchini will participate with one of his Dolls, the ironic pop little dolls.
Selected by the curator, the Doll sculpture in purple resin with long and undulating white hair wears a yellow dress slightly showing her shoulders. She is half woman half girl and a disenchanted icon of femininity.
First stop of the show is the
BMB Gallery of
Mumbai, that will host the exhibition from January 7th till 15th. The dates of
Kolkata (
Rabindranath Tagore Centre, 4th-18th February) and
New Delhi (
Italian Cultural Centre, 4th-20th March) will follow.
