TORTONA FASHION DISTRICT: WHERE FASHION LIVES 365 DAYS A WEEK

An intersection of old Milan streets, a post-industrial area, a central district of Milan, an area of the city were the past of blue-collar housing, of workshops, of little stores lives side by side with the present of factories turned into creative industries, with the future of new architectures.
Since 1983, when the first Superstudio establishes, pioneering the metamorphosis, until today, this part of the city has been evolving, year after year, spontaneously, into Tortona District, the most innovative and imitated district in Milan. A district where fashion is widespread and lives 365 days a year with the peaks of Milano Fashion Weeks, where design flared up the Fuori Salone phenomenon, where night life is livened up by young creatives and international visitors. Thanks to an initiative by Superstudio Group and M.Seventy that networks the whole Tortona district and surroundings to create a publishing schedule , starting with a map and a website (working soon), gathering all Tortona (fashion) District’s addresses, initiatives and events, communicating and spreading information on the “fashion systems” in the area, thus affording insiders (and outsiders) enjoying initiatives, overlapping events, calendars and significant places.
