FLAVIO LUCCHINI, VOGUE ITALIA'S "FATHER"

Vogue Archive, Celebrating 50th Anniversary of Fashion...
says the invitation to one of the most desired  parties in the Milano fashion week. Thoughts fly backwards.
The birth of Vogue Italia, Condé Naste's iconic magazine in Europe, is in fact due to Flavio Lucchini's intuition and visionary talent. Designer and  first art-director, today chairman of Superstudio Group and well-known artist, who back in 1964, suggested to american editors to turn Novità magazine into Vogue Italia, thus tracing the "italian pathway" of the historical american magazine. An instant and clamorous success, that renewed the fashion publishing code "inventing" new graphic, new photographers, new journalists, new languages, as well as many new magazines. A success that the current director Franca Sozzani - who was called to Condé Naste by Flavio Lucchini, made her first steps from a very young age - has been able to stay and grow in time, instilling her personality.
Vogue Archive night is the opportunity to go back to those magical and unique moments of fashion as it used to be back then, right in the legendary adress of Piazza Castello 27, where everything started.
